How to get Tiny Walking Bomb
Choose Goblin Engineering and reach at least Engineering 205. Renew your Goblin Engineering membership through the repeatable Membership Card Renewal quest for 2 gold. The renewal can lead to a Goblin Engineer's Renewal Gift in the mail about 24 hours later, with a chance to contain Schematic: Pet Bombling. Learn the schematic and craft Pet Bombling with 1 Big Iron Bomb, 1 Heart of Fire, 1 Fused Wiring, and 6 Mithril Bars. In Vanilla Classic, both the schematic and finished pet bind on pickup, so this must be earned and crafted by the character who will use it.
Choose Goblin Engineering
Tiny Walking Bomb comes from Pet Bombling, the Goblin Engineering counterpart to Lil' Smoky.
The Vanilla pet is specialization-gated because the schematic comes from Goblin Engineering membership renewal gifts.
Renew your membership for a chance at the schematic
Membership Card Renewal costs 2 gold. Wowhead's Classic Engineering guide says the renewal gift arrives by mail about 24 hours later and can contain Schematic: Pet Bombling.
The schematic is not guaranteed, so collectors may need to repeat the renewal process multiple times.
Craft Pet Bombling at Engineering 205
The recipe requires one Big Iron Bomb, one Heart of Fire, one Fused Wiring, and six Mithril Bars.
In Vanilla Classic, the finished Pet Bombling binds on pickup. You cannot simply buy the companion from another engineer, so plan the specialization on the character that will keep it.
Why the page is called Tiny Walking Bomb
The crafted item is named Pet Bombling, while the summoned companion is represented in the client as Tiny Walking Bomb.
Forever Companions keeps the companion-facing name while documenting the original crafted item name in the acquisition steps.
Possibly explosive, definitely adorable. Keep away from open flame.
