How to get Tiny Snowman
From December 25 through the end of Feast of Winter Veil, open the Gaily Wrapped Present beneath the holiday tree in Ironforge or Orgrimmar. Characters must be level 20 to open this present. It contains one of four companion items: Snowman Kit, Green Helper Box, Red Helper Box, or Jingling Bell. Snowman Kit binds when used, so it can also be traded or bought on the Auction House. In Vanilla Classic, summoning Tiny Snowman consumes a Snowball.
Open the Gaily Wrapped Present after December 25
Winter Veil begins earlier in December, but the companion gift does not become available until December 25. Look beneath the holiday tree in Ironforge or Orgrimmar.
The Gaily Wrapped Present requires level 20 and contains one of four Classic companion items rather than guaranteeing Snowman Kit.
Snowman Kit can be traded
Snowman Kit binds when used, so another player can sell or trade an unopened kit.
This makes the Auction House a valid year-round route even when Winter Veil is not active.
Bring Snowballs to summon it in Vanilla
In Vanilla Classic, Snowman Kit requires one Snowball each time you summon Tiny Snowman.
Snowballs are easy to obtain during Winter Veil, and engineers with the appropriate holiday schematic can also produce them.
Tiny Snowman stays where you build it
Unlike most companions, Tiny Snowman does not follow your character. It remains at the location where you summon it until dismissed.
Historical Classic comments also document responses to emotes such as /dance, /wave, and /kiss, making it more interactive than its stationary behavior suggests.
The Pet Journal describes Tiny Snowman as a playful companion that enjoys dancing, waving, and returning with the Winter Veil season.
