What was datamined
Wowhead found a new companion named Spawn of Grubthor in the latest WoW Forever beta build. The client contains the companion entry and summon data, which confirms that Blizzard has created the pet in the current beta files.
That does not yet confirm that the pet is obtainable. Forever Companions is keeping Spawn of Grubthor out of the public companion directory until a real acquisition source is found.
The obvious Grubthor connection
Grubthor is a level 58 rare elite in Silithus. The name Spawn of Grubthor makes the connection obvious, and a drop from Grubthor would fit the pattern of Forever attaching new companions to existing creatures.
For now, that is still speculation. The beta level cap has kept players from properly testing the Silithus rare, and no confirmed drop or quest source has been reported.
Why we are tracking it now
Datamined companions are useful leads, especially when a name points toward an existing mob or area. They are not enough on their own for the main Forever Companions directory.
If players confirm Spawn of Grubthor in-game, we will add its dedicated companion page and update this article with the acquisition method.
